The canvas I use is BullDog
UG Pigment Canvas-a semi Gloss Polycotton,
Gelatin inkjet receptor. This canvas was developed
in response for a satin finish, wide gamut, gelatin-coated
solution to pigmented inks. The extra texture and
drying additives allow for easy printing, without
any streaking. All images are printed in 11 different
colors of EnduraChrome dye based Inks... I use them
because they provide such brilliant color. I add
a UV absorber, top coating that extends that life
to 100 years. The prints are stretched on Stretcher
Bars made from kiln-dried, knot free,
straight white pine. Each strip measures 1¼"
high × 1½" deep. The finished
printed and stretched canvas is so lifelike, it's
really hard to tell the difference from the "real"
thing.
I also use Hahnemühle
Art Paper. This
coating for inkjet mould-made watercolor paper is
a standard fine art paper. This very heavy weight
watercolor paper is flexible enough to come on rolls;
as well as cut sheets. The coating was designed
to minimize fading of the image and the paper weight
is 310 gsm. The Hahnemühle Paper Mill has been
producing quality mould-made art paper for over
415 years. Their rich history with traditional artists
and close involvement with inkjet printer manufacturers
allowed Hahnemühle to develop a series of watercolor
papers specifically engineered and coated for modern
inkjet printing. All prints and posters are delivered
unmounted and unframed.
Only the
highest quality Photopaper
is used for the 16" x 20" posters.
For the past 20 years I've mainly focused on
a graphic design career producing interactive works
for companies such as Microsoft, Nortell Networks,
IBS and DST Innovis. My digital career began in
the early 80's with the computer games company "Gridware
Inc" producing the computer game translations
of "Congo Bongo" and "Tapper"
for Sega and Bally Midway. I still continue as an
independent designer/ illustrator producing web
content, Flash, photography and traditional print
design. I hope you'll find something you like and
we'll hear from you.
